Inclusion in Monologues

Hi MIMU,

Ok, but what about inclusion when it comes to language courses and Social Studies?

We got you covered, DF...

INCLUSIVE INSTRUCTION
Because this is a fairly broad topic, there are so many opportunities for inclusion. New Canadian students might really enjoying having the opportunity to share with their peers their story. It is also a chance for them to practice with new vocabulary in a very meaningful way.

In terms of the heritage fair itself, there are several things that students could do to participate. For students who may not get meaning out of creating a booth at the fair, here are some ideas of things that they could be doing.

  1. Be the greeter to greet visitors into the Fair.
  2. Take pictures of each of the booths
  3. Partner up with a group or a few groups and be in charge of one particular aspect (ex. If the student really likes to cook, they could be the one to make food, or maybe they could do some drawings to add to the display)
  4. Be a tour guide and show visitors around the Fair.
